I am slowly trying to plug away at the third menu planner from Aldi. Those are a lot of work, but have been a blast to put together.
I have gotten some funny responses from that Salmon ala dishwasher one ;) Have to keep the people on their toes. I think some of them referred to my recipe as dirty & disguisting. Obviously, they have not met this white trash woman!
I am throughly enjoying your blog- thanks again!

Yeah. In fact, when I worked in a nursing home kitchen in high school that's how we always did it. Same way for the steak house in college.
I've also washed and spun out lettuce in a laundry bag in my washer. :)

Vincent Price did the Dishwasher Fish on the "Tonight Show" sometime in the '70s. Somehow it seemed even more bizarre that way.
When I was a kid we were on vacation and stopped to go fishing at a stocked lake. Upon leaving we realized we had several trout and no way to cook them. My father wrapped them in foil and put them on the manifold of the car and they cooked as we were driving!
